The Purpose

Soul Circles is dedicated to creating inspirational gatherings and events for those seeking community, discovery, and growth.

The Founder’s Story

In her early twenties, after enduring years of chronic pain and a life-threatening health crisis, Brooke embarked on a journey to understand and restore her well-being. After being misdiagnosed with Crohn’s Disease and having ten inches of her intestines and appendix removed, she was determined to find the root cause of her imbalances. She dedicated herself to studying Eastern medicine, alternative healing practices, and spirituality. Through years of hands-on experimentation, inner work, and development of daily practices, she was able to restore harmony and coherence to her body, mind and spirit.

Brooke is certified meditation teacher through UC Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center and The Awareness Training Institute's two-year meditation program, taught by luminaries Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach (MMTCP). She’s also a Reiki Master and has completed training in Biofield Tuning, a form of sound therapy.

Brooke is an experienced public speaker and event organizer who has led healing circles, attended many retreats (silent and shamanic) and is currently organizing gatherings in the field of human potential and wellbeing.

She studies and experiments with mysticism, quantum medicine, energy medicine, and holistic health practices. Brooke is a dedicated practitioner of Transcendental Meditation, Kundalini Yoga, free form dance, singing, and Qigong.

Her academic journey includes earning a Liberal Arts B.A. degree from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College of Florida Atlantic University, with a concentration in Honors Philosophy and Literature. She’s also completed the Science of Well-Being course at Yale University.

In the business world, she’s an award-winning entrepreneur and has founded a number of ventures, including an award-winning creative and marketing agency, What Works Studio, as well as an arts-centric magazine, a social innovation conference series, and America's first international light and music festival, Light City.

She was named “Innovator of the Year,” “25 Women to Watch,” “Top Female CEO,” “40 Under 40,” “Social Innovation Fellow,” “Young Cultural Innovator Fellow.” She was also honored with the “Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Award”,“Silo Breaker Award,” and“Baltimore Transformer Award.”
